The Directorate of Health Services has distributed recently unveiled home isolation kits among over 3,500 asymptomatic Covid-19 patients so far.
“More than 3,500 kits have already been distributed among home isolating Covid patients. We have a stock of around 4,000 kits. With most people opting for home isolation, our available bed capacity is sufficient to handle Covid cases,” Health Minister said.
It was also informed that the third year MBBS students from Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim are calling on home isolation patients to collect data to help monitor their condition in a more organized manner.
Similarly, it was learnt that the DHS will soon issue renewed SOPs for contact tracing focused on the time gap between a person testing positive and testing of their family members.
