The incidents have angered the people of Vasco.
"These officers are supposed to be disciplined. These people are respected as defence officers and here they are creating havoc. This is the second time that Vasco Police have detained naval officers in a quick span," said an angry local, Ramesh Naik.
"Last time, they were detained for creating havoc in a restaurant. Some years ago, naval authorities and civilians of Vasco had clashed over Saptah issues," said Naik.
A taxi driver, who witnessed the ruckus, on ground of anonymity said: "Defence is supposed to protect important installations and not damage public property. This is getting too much. I wonder why a case is not registered against this people by RTO, MMC for damaging a government property put up for public ease."
According to PI Nolasco Raposo, they received information about the chaos created by naval officers under influence of alcohol and a team of police was immediately sent at both the locations and naval officers were detained.
"We have booked two cases against naval officers for creating havoc under influence of alcohol," said Raposo.
