A 40-year-old man from Gadag, Karnataka, but residing at Muddawado, Saligao, surrendered to Saligao police after he is alleged to have murdered his wife in their rented house at Saligao.
According to Saligao police, Vinod Rathod allegedly murdered his wife Rukmini (36) sometime between 2 pm and 4 pm on Friday and later surrendered at the police station.
The couple, who have three minor children, had been involved in frequent quarrels, police said. Vinod is presently in police custody and police sent the body for an autopsy at the GMC
Hospital in Bambolim.
Police have registered the case under Section 103 of BNS 2023, and Police Inspector Gadekar is conducting investigations under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Viswesh Karpe.
