PERNEM
Six trucks were gutted in a major fire at the Mopa International Airport construction site on Wednesday morning.
According to sources, there are hundreds of trucks present at the construction site of the airport, and a short circuit on one truck is believed to have started a fire.
The fire quickly spread to five other trucks which were parked adjacent to each other.
Fire tenders from the Pernem fire station were seen rushing to the site to extinguish the fire. Media persons were not allowed entry into the construction site and hence, further details into the fire mishap were not available.
