CANACONA
A 62-year-old-man ended his life at his house in Canacona.
According to Canacona police, family members had rushed Purshottam Naik to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Canacona, where he was declared dead.
A police team visited the Canacona CHC and during inquiry with family members, were informed that the deceased was under mental stress since the last one month.
Police then conducted a panchanama and then sent the body for an autopsy. The body was later handed over to the family and the final rites were performed on Friday.
Police registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 BNSS 2023 and Canacona PSI Vishal Velip conducted the investigation.
