Unveiling yet another promise to Goans, AAP national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has assured villagers in Sattari that the party would resolve their land rights issue within six months of coming to power in the State.
“Land ownership has been a burning issue for Sattari residents. If AAP comes to power, we will resolve land rights issue within six months”, Kejriwal said interacting with residents of Mauxi and Badruk villages on Monday.
Speaking further, Kejriwal also assured villagers of Sattari, Valpoi, Mauxi and Pale of high quality government schools & mohalla clinics in each village.
"Sattari farmers have been cultivating the land for the last 50-60 years but ownership of the land is in the name of the Goa government amongst other complications. Although, Goa has been free for 60 years, residents have not been able to get ownership of their land”, he said.
“MLAs have never had this problem and have always managed to get land on their name. Representatives of Sattari who have been ruling for the last 50 years have failed to solve the land rights issue", said Kejriwal.
Calling for a change in Sattari, he said, “in Delhi, AAP won 67 out of 70 seats, BJP won 3 seats and Congress got zero. It is time bring your old leaders to zero”.
“In Delhi, mohalla clinics have been opened in every locality to give free medical services to the citizen. Here, Mauxi villagers have to go Valpoi, for the treatment. We will also start Mohalla clinics in every village”, he announced.
AAP leader from Valpoi constituency Satyavijay Naik, Goa state convener Rahul Mhambre, Rajdeep Naik, Puti Gaonkar and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyavijay Naik accused the politicians of deliberately keeping the land issue pending. Similarly, people of Sattari were also facing a dire crisis through the sanctuary, he said.
Rahul Mhambare said many villages in Sattari had no network facilities and as a result many village children had to sit in dense forests for online education.
