Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader Manish Sisodia on Sunday morning said that AAP had developed a strong base of supporters in Goa which is committed to bring about a change in Goa.
Sisodia was addressing a gathering of media persons soon after he landed at the Goa airport on Sunday where he was accorded a rousing reception by his party workers and supporters.
"We now have a very strong team in Goa that is anxious and committed to bring about a change in Goa and one of the reasons for my visit to Goa is to meet this team and interact with them," said Sisodia who later in the day addressed a party meeting in the capital city.
"Earlier when we began, we were a new party and there were initially a few people in Goa who wanted a change and as time went through these people have multiplied considerably and today we have a very strong team here. I want to congratulate this Goa team and looking at their work, courage and efforts in Goa, we also get energized and motivated in Delhi," said Sisodia.
AAP Goa convener Rahul Mhambre had on Saturday said that the event on Sunday in Panaji would be a big moment for them and all panchayat incharges, assembly incharges and vice presidents and village presidents would be part of the meeting and that, they were all geared up to welcome the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister.
