Continuing with its job guarantee campaign, the Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday took out the Rozgar Yatra in Shiroda and Mandrem.
The Shiroda Yatra was led by party Senior Vice President Mahadev Naik.
Hundreds of AAP volunteers attended the Rozgar rally in both Mandrem and Shiroda.
Naik addressed a large number of residents in back-to-back meetings in Sakwar Borim, Shiroda Bazar and Dattghad Bethoda.
He highlighted how the BJP has time and again tricked residents by first promising jobs to youth and then disappearing. Shiroda residents have reacted extremely positively to Kejriwal’s employment guarantee and look forward to transparency in job allocation, he stated.
AAP Goa Vice President Adv Surel Tilve said, “The residents of Shiroda are tired of being tricked time and again by the BJP. No one seems to care about the youth and those who have lost their jobs.” “AAP volunteers are taking Kejriwal’s job guarantee to the houses of every Goemkar. Goans are registering for Kejriwal’s job guarantee in large numbers. Over 5000 a day are registering in our booth level meetings,” Tilv added.
In Mandrem AAP leaders and Mandrem Assembly in-charge Adv Prasad Shahpurkar addressed meetings in Sawantwada Mandrem, Tuem and Arambol. The meetings were attended by a large number of residents.
Adv Shahpurkar addressed residents who have lost jobs due to the lockdown. “Taxi operators have lost their livelihood and many families who are dependent on tourism are without any aid. Residents have hailed Kejriwal’s support to them and asked why the BJP could not do the same,” he said.
