Giving a further push to the party’s Zilla panchayat campaign on Congress’s home ground, Salcete, Aam Aadmi Party Goa in-charge, Atishi Marlena personally descended on the battle ground to drum up support for the party candidates in Navelim and Raia.
Conducting an extensive door-to-door campaign in Navelim and Raia in support of AAP’s Zilla Panchayat candidates Beatris D’Souza (Navelim) and Jeromina Colaco (Raia), Atishi launched an attack on the Congress, saying, “across Goa, the collusion between BJP and Congress is now being exposed by Congress’s own leaders and volunteers”.
She added that Navelim is the best example of this betrayal, and people are ready for a clean alternative.”
AAP working president Gerson Gomes said only the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting the BJP.
Atishi said that people are responding positively to AAP’s service-based politics, especially its health camps and clinics that helped families save money even when AAP was not in power.
AAP Working President Gerson Gomes slammed Congress and BJP for promoting family-based politics. “In Navelim, Congress has fielded Malifa Cardozo, the niece of Congress leader Cipru Cardozo. This clearly exposes the Congress–BJP nexus and their family raj politics. Congress is no longer an opposition — it is BJP’s partner in disguise,” he said.
Gerson Gomes further stated, “While Congress and BJP pass tickets within families, AAP gives opportunities to working people who have served society. That is why voters are connecting with Beatris D’Souza and Jeromina Colaco. Goans want to end familyraj and choose honest, people-first governance.”
AAP reiterated that it will continue door-to-door outreach across Goa, taking its work and message directly to voters and appealing for support to defeat BJP’s misrule and Congress’s betrayal.
