Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has advised the Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited (ACGL) to expand local employment opportunities in the State.
He was speaking after unveiling the 1,00,000th bus manufactured by ACGL at a function in the Ravindra Bhavan at Sanquelim.
Sawant congratulated the ACGL for reaching the milestone of 1,00,000 buses and expressed confidence in the company's continued contribution to the transport sector and industrial progress of Goa.
He also appreciated ACGL’s commitment to net zero carbon efficiency in line with the vision of Make in India and Make for the Globe.
Among those present at the event were Poriem MLA Dr Deviya Rane, ACGL Chairman and industrialist Shrinivas Dempo, ACGL CEO and Executive Director Pranab Ghosh, ACGL Directors Girish Wagh and Yatin Kakodkar, ACGL Executive Manager Deelip Desai and other officials.
Poriem MLA Dr Deviya Rane lauded ACGL for having provided employment to hundreds of people and business opportunities to several others.
ACGL Chairman Shrinivas Dempo said the ACGL has been growing rapidly and expressed satisfaction that many people have gained employment opportunities.
