Adulterated snacks heading for Goa Carnival seized, destroyed

With Carnival beginning today (Saturday), officials of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) on Friday confiscated a total of 400 kilogram of food including chips, samosas, tomato sticks, schezwan sticks, soya papdi, all valued a little over Rs 1.09 lakh.
The food items, suspected of containing non-permitted colouring agents, were confiscated from a bus parking area near the Panaji bus terminus.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has received applications from over 40 educational societies/trusts for opening primary section schools in the academic year 2017-18.
