Vasco MLA Carlos Almeda on Friday commended the Vasco police station for cracking the Christmas Day burglary at Vasco in record time and in recovering the entire stolen property from the accused, while also being ranked the best police station in the State.
He presented a bouquet of flowers Mormugao DySP Sunita Sawant and PI Nolasco Raposo in the presence of MMC Chairperson Deepak Naik and congratulated the Vasco police along the sidelines of a special meeting convened at the Mormugao Deputy Collector's office.
"On behalf of all Vascokars, I want to appreciate and congratulate the Vasco police team. It's also a proud moment for us all that Vasco Police Station has been ranked the best police station in Goa," said Almeida.
"Whenever and wherever there is a law and order problem, people expected the police to tackle the situation. Vasco police on Thursday solved a burglary in record time and recovered the entire stolen property."
"Today, there are no drug cases or people loitering at night. I am happy that Vasco is safe with such a great police team," said the Vasco MLA.
