The gram sabha of Aquem-Baixo village Panchayat on Sunday has resolved that the Panchayat will issue documents such as income and other certificates to tenants staying in rental premises only upon the NOC from the landlord.
At the meeting chaired by Sarpanch Siddesh Bhagat, the decision was taken after gram sabha members pointed out that the Panchayat should be cautious while issuing income and other certificates to the tenants staying in rented premises.
The gram sabha members pointed out that the Panchayat should entertain applications for such certificates only after the applicant obtains the NOC from the landlord or the house owner, saying that such a criteria should be laid down in order to stop tenants misusing the tenanted premises to obtain documents.
The garbage issue also figured at the gram sabha meeting when the chair was questioned over the issue of waste disposal. The Sarpanch replied saying that the Panchayat has so far could not find a suitable place to sort out the collected waste and formed a committee to help identify places which could be used for waste sorting.
