Art expo for rural education
PANAJI: A group of artists have come together under the banner 'Different strokes' to help educate children in rural areas. These artists will hold an exhibition of their works and the proceeds of the sale of their works will go to Don Bosco Charities to help educate the children and youth. This will be their fourth exhibition for the same cause.
The works will be on nature, some in realm of spirituality, some make Goa come alive while some are abstracts and they are on various mediums. The exhibition will be at Sanskruti Bhavan, The Central Library, Patto, Panaji, from November 12 to 14.
Some of the artists displaying their works are Salvador Fernandes, Dr Aparna Pradhan, Clarice Vaz, Dr Anthony Gomes, Damodar Madgaonkar, Uday Agarwal, Fr Royston D'Souza, Shailesh Dabholkar, Nandini Raikar, Jyoti Mehta, Lorraine Pereira, Karen Pereira, Stephanie D'Sousa, Cassica Castellino, Stacy Rodrigues, Anita Kubal, Aaron Gomes, Sherwyn Pereira, Sunil Shirodkar, Abeline Fernandes, Avito D'Costa, Genevieve D'Souza, AkshathaVinay, Vaishnavi Shankhwalkar, Vatsala Kamat Hede, Vasant Hede, Shyamsundar Narvekar and Rubina D'Souza.
