Assam native dies in self-accident at Cortalim

 VASCO 

A 30-year-old man from Assam lost his life in a self-accident while riding his two-wheeler near Bandaivoilo Khuris, Cortalim, while on his way towards Verna.

The incident came to light after Casualty staff at GMC Bambolim informed the police that the victim had been brought in dead following the accident.

Police investigations revealed that Anup Saha lost control of his bike and met with a fatal accident. The exact cause is yet to be ascertained.

Verna police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The body has been preserved at GMC, Bambolim, for medico-legal formalities.

The enquiry is being conducted by PSI Carey Fernandes of Verna Police Station, under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
