Cuncolim police have registered an FIR against a resident of Assolna for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor boy.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the accused allegedly took the child to a shed in Assolna in September 2026. The shed was used to store fishing nets. The accused allegedly pushed the boy onto a bench, sexually assaulted him and threatened him against disclosing the incident to anyone. A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 4, 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act.
