Ayurveda and wellness expo to be held in Goa from January 23

The first edition of the India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026 will be held from January 23 to 25 at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim. The international event is being jointly organised by the Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine and the Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Patanjali Research Foundation.

The three-day expo and summit aim to promote Ayurveda, AYUSH systems, holistic wellness, preventive healthcare and integrative medicine, while also positioning Goa as an emerging destination for global wellness tourism. Organisers said the event is designed as a common platform for policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders from India and abroad.

A key feature of the event will be a mega exhibition pavilion showcasing over 50 national and international organisations. These will include wellness brands, research institutions, start-ups, manufacturers of medicinal plant-based products, and healthcare and wellness service providers. An international summit will be held alongside the exhibition, featuring panel discussions, technical sessions and policy dialogues with more than 40 national and international experts from fields such as Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, integrative health, nutrition and sports medicine.

The inaugural function will be held at 10 am on January 23, with Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda attending as the chief guest. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will also be present. The keynote address will be delivered by Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali Ayurveda.

Organisers said over 2,500 delegate registrations have already been received, and more than 5,000 visitors are expected during the three-day event.
