When contacted, Kavlekar said,  “In the last election as well, the same candidates were in the race to defeat me but people have continued to support me.
Completing the pending development works in my constituency will now be my first priority,” he said.
Kavlekar further gave credit for his victory to his supporters, councillors, panch members and locals, who worked hard to get him re-elected for the fourth term.
When contacted, BJP’s candidate, Prakash Velip alleged that money power was a factor in this election.
“I thank the people who voted for me. I also thank the BJP party for giving me a chance to contest the election and I will continue with my social work,” said Velip.
