Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday announced that Goa will soon play host to a Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy College.
He was speaking at a public sensitisation workshop cum demonstration on the occasion of National Naturopathy Day organised by the Goa Council of Ayurveda & Allied Indian System of medicine in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Margao sunrise at Ravindra Bhavan Margao.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the workshop in the presence of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, NRI Commissioner Narendra Sawaikar and President of the Goa council of Ayurvedic & Indian system of medicine Dr Sneha Bhagwat.
In his address, the Chief Minister stressed nature-based therapies and their acceptance all over the world. He cited examples of how Yoga and Naturopathy are helpful and announced Goa will soon host a Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy college, which will enable the students to develop a career in this field and benefits the public.
While extending his wishes to the organisers, Digambar Kamat appealed to people to go for Yoga and naturopathy to keep them healthy and strong.
