At a nearly 5-hour-long brainstorming meet, chaired by State Convenor, Elvis Gomes, candidates, state team members and volunteers reaffirmed their commitment to the AAP mission to change politics, fight corruption and restore the right of the people to be consulted on governance and the government’s decision making at various levels.
“AAP will soon launch itself in mission mode to intervene, confront and plead on behalf of Goa’s people with the Government and the authorities on public services delivery, corruption in big-ticket projects and policies as well as smaller micro matters at the city/town/village level from ground zero,” the party has said in a statement after emerging from the meeting.
The meet also noted the positive feedback AAP was getting in light of the post-poll developments. The unholy and pre-poll ideology-defeating tie-ups entered into by the BJP-Goa Forward, MGP who had broken away from BJP and others who fought bitterly (sic) against each other, have vindicated AAP’s consistent campaign that Goa’s career politicians are all hand-in-glove for the sole aim to capture power and loot the State.
The AAP has claimed that the recent politicking to form governments and buy support only vindicated their stand that politics in Goa was only for the love of power and not for the service of the people.

The only candidate who saved her deposit was Benaulim candidate Royla Fernandes who came second
Despite coming second, Royla was almost 5,000 votes behind winning candidate Churchill Alemão in Benaulim
