BBSM flays govt move to deny nod for Marathi, Konkani primary schools

the goan I networkrBICHOLIM r rSpeaking on the occasion, BBSM Bicholim unit president Srikrishna Dhond said the activists have once again come on the streets as government primary schools running in Marathi and Konkani languages are on the verge of closure. rSenior teacher, Mukund Kauthankar said the number of Marathi and Konkani schools in Goa is dwindling due to wrong decision of the government. rKauthankar added that learning in mother tongue is a universal concept and the government is still least bothered about it. rDistrict member of BBSM, Vinayak Chari called upon the people to teach a good lesson to the BJP in Goa as rits leaders in Goa are bent upon acting against universal law of imparting education in mother tongue which is followed by other states in the country. rAtmaram Gaonkar also spoke on the occasion.
