BICHOLIM
A school in Bicholim switched from offline to online exams after one student reportedly tested positive for Covid.
The Sankhali CHC Health Officer Dr Uttam Dessai has, however, said the incident has caused unnecessary panic as the situation was totally under control.
According to reports, the Std 10 student had tested Covid positive a few days ago and did not answer his exam on Monday.
The school made enquiries and found that he had tested positive. As a precautionary measure, the school then decided to conduct the exam in online mode.
When contacted, Sankhali CHC Health Officer Dr Uttam Dessai said the incident had caused unnecessary panic.
“The boy had not come to school at all and had tested positive a few days ago. Hence, there was no need for panic. The situation is completely under control,” said Dr Dessai.
