Bio-fuel buses launched in Goa
The Government of Goa launched its first bio-gas run buses on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations.
The 36 seater, pre-installed GPS system and CCTV camera was flagged off from the Adil Shah Palace, Panaji at the hands of the Goa Governor, Mridula Sinha. The three buses currently part of the state-run Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited's pilot project, will sustain through biogas generated at the solid waste management plant at Saligao.
There are plans to start such 40 buses in the state till February 2018.
