Speaking after inaugurating the Congress office at Baina, Maken said: “In Punjab where there is a straight fight between BJP and Congress, AAP has fielded their candidates to benefit the BJP.”
“Anna Hazare, Delhi CM Kejriwal and BJP are responsible for systematically degrading the country,” added Maken.
Maken said during the BJP rule, inflation has hit the roof, due to which poor and common men are affected. “BJP had made tall promises during its campaign that they will give special status to Goa and create employment to unemployed, which they have failed to do so,” said Maken.
Speaking on demonetizing the currency notes, Maken said earlier also demonetizing of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes had taken place to stop counterfeits, but it did not affect the common men.
“We are also against black money but not at the cost of poor and common man to suffer, as he has to spend long hours by standing in queue to withdraw his own money and that too limited,” said Maken.
Speaking on Congress leadership, Maken said the party has full faith in Rahul Gandhi and will be the next Congress leader.   Congress leader Sankalp Amonkar said the office was opened basically to help the people to fill various scheme forms which will be done free of cost.
“It is a straight fight between Congress and BJP and AAP is a spoiler and AAP’s entry will help BJP. I will urge the voters not to fall prey to the AAP campaign and vote for Congress in Mormugao constituency,” said Amonkar.
Earlier, Maken inaugurated the Congress office at Baina in the presence of GPCC general secretary Vijay Khot, GPCC Minority Cell chairman Urfan Mullha, GPCC senior member M K Shaik and Vasco Congress block president Vishal Naik.
