MARGAO
A massive fire engulfed a factory at the Nessai Industrial Estate on Monday evening, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees.
The incident occurred on the first floor of the industrial unit when the cleaning product raw material caught fire inside the Chem-tech factory.
Fire Officer Gill D’Souza informed that the Margao fire brigade has managed to save property worth Rs 10 lakh, adding that the loss of goods destroyed in the fire is being ascertained.
To a question, he said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
