PANAJI

Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho on Tuesday Godinho said the Goa Industrial Development  Corporation (GIDC) has already rejected holding the controversial  ‘Sunburn’ electronic dance music (EDM) festival on any property of the  corporation.

Godinho said, the decision to reject Sunburn on GIDC  property was taken by the BoD even before any such proposal was moved  before the Corporation.

There were reports that the organisers of the festival  were keen to move the venue to South Goa and land held by the GIDC at  Quitol, where the Defence Expo was held a few years ago, was one they  had zeroed in on.

In fact the event is already being publicised by the company at a new venue and tickets are also being sold online.
