Complaints before the RERA were filed by Swaroop Natekar, Sandeep Tople, Android D’Costa and Sulbha Mishal while complaints before the police have been filed in addition to the above by Dattatray Dalvi, Sanket Shirodkar, Vijeta D’Costa, SS Mishal, Suraj Madkaikar, Santosh Gharve, Sneha Gawas and others.
In response to the RERA complaints, the builder claimed that he couldn’t complete the project on account of a shortage of sand on account of the ongoing ban on sand mining in Goa and claimed that there was a clause in the contract which stated that if there was a delay on account of unavailability of material, it would not be the builders responsibility, a contention that was rejected by the Authority.
