Unknown miscreants broke into a residential house at Davorlim and decamped with gold ornaments, a silver bar and coins worth around Rs 4.56 lakh.
In her complaint lodged with the Maina-Curtorim police, Ancy A, a resident of Davorlim, stated that the burglary took place between 5 pm on October 16, 2026, and 6.30 pm on October 17, 2026. The accused allegedly gained entry into the house by forcibly breaking open the lock on the main door before entering the bedroom.
They subsequently broke open the cupboards and stole gold ornaments, a silver bar and coins collectively valued at Rs 4,56,173.
The Maina-Curtorim police have registered a case against the unknown accused under Sections 305, 331(3), 331(4) and 334 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
