Canacona Municipal Councillor Shubham Komarpant has submitted a memorandum to the PWD demanding a permanent solution to the water issue affecting the entire taluka of Canaocna.
Handing over the memorandum to PWD (Water Supply) EE Divn XX Margao Lester Fernandes, Komarpant claimed that mismanagement in the water supply department at Canacona, had led to irregular and insufficient water supply throughout Canacona taluka, causing problems to households.
“People are finding it difficult to get drinking water,” stated Komarpant, while reminding the PWD that people are in need of proper drinkable water during the forthcoming Shigmosthav and Jatra in Canacona.
Komarpant stated that as a public representative, he is responsible to follow up the matter and requested the officer to direct officers concerned in Canacona to supply water to households.
