Canacona MLA announces education target during birthday speech

Stating Canacona has all the potential and willpower, Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar promised that the taluka will produce 50 doctors and 100 engineers annually in the near future.

Tawadkar was speaking at his birthday celebration held at the Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona on Sunday.

“We have opened a branch of Acharya Academy in Canacona to train students to prepare for JEE and NEET competitive examinations, and in the near future, 50 doctors and 100 Engineers will be produced annually from Canacona,” Tawadkar said.

Tawadkar said in the next 5 years, he will raise the present 1,000 Shram-Dham warriors to 5000 warriors and Shram-Dham houses for the needy will be built right from Pernem to Canacona.

“I brought more development works within 3 years of my present position than previously what I have done during my tenure as a minister,” said Tawadkar.

Tawadkar further said he had to face criticism even when he went into paddy fields to cultivate rice.

“I am more experienced in paddy fields than most of the 39 MLAs in Goa Assembly,” he said.

Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Naik, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, St Andre ZP Dhaku Madkaikar, BKP State General Secretary Sarvanand Bhagat, Ankush Gaonkar, CMC councilor Ramakant Naikgaunkar, Poinguinim Sarpanch Savita Tawadkar, Khotigao Sarpanch Vrunda Velip, Shristhal Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar, Loliem-Polem Sarpanch Nisha Chari, and Adarsh Yuva Sangh President Chandrakant Velip were among the dignitaries who spoke at the 57th birthday celebrations of Ramesh Tawadkar.
