Speaking at a meeting at Lamani Colony at Zuari Nagar, Jain said the names of the candidates will be declared phase wise.
Interacting with the slum dwellers of Zuari Nagar, Jain assured them free housing and urged them to complete their education for better life in the society.
Speaking about himself, Jain said he came from a very small family and it is his educational qualification that made him what he is today.
“The slums at Zuari Nagar have been neglected for the last 50 years and if AAP is elected to power in Goa in the next assembly election, then AAP will provide free housing and quality education to the residents of the slums,” said Jain. Speaking to the media, he reiterated his assurance and said after consulting on the proposal of free housing to slum dwellers with AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP will include the subject in the party’s manifesto.
ZP member Nelly Rodrigues was also present at the meeting. When the media asked her whether she will contest the next assembly election on AAP ticket, she said when her supporters told her about the AAP meeting and discussion of development she rushed to the site. Rodrigues said her supporters will decide on which party ticket she should contest the next assembly election and she will oblige.
