Candidates interact with voters in Mayem
BICHOLIM: Candidates contesting elections from Mayem constituency interacted with locals at a programme organised by 'Mayem Yuwa' at the Mahamaya Library in Gaonkarwada-Mayem late Thursday evening.
The organisers on behalf of the public put forth several queries which included the role of elected MLA in undertaking all-around development of Mayem.
Those candidates present at the interactive session were Ashok Gaonkar, Deepkumar Mapari and Prabhakar Gaonkar (Independent), Atmaram Gaonkar (GSM), Subhash Kinalkar (NCP) and Santoshkumar Sawant (Congress) and Adv Ajeetsingh Rane (AAP). BJP candidate Pravin Zantye was not present.
Questions such as the number of times the elected MLA would visit people in the next five years, plans to undertake sustainable development, time-frame for the Chorao-Ribandar bridge and solutions to the problem of educated unemployment were put forth to the candidates.
