Cansaulim gang rape: Custody of accused extended by 4 days

The five accused arrested in the gang rape of the mentally challenged woman at Cansaulim after her abduction from the Margao KTC bus stand have been further remanded to four days' police custody.  

The Fatorda police had produced the five accused persons before the Margao Civil and Criminal Courts on Monday after the expiry of their three-day remand.  

The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, has further remanded the accused persons to four days' police custody for the purpose of investigations.  

The five accused, all hailing from Vasco, were nabbed by the Fatorda police last month after they gang-raped the mentally challenged woman at a Cansaulim guest house after abducting her from the Margao KTC bus stand.
