PANAJI
Following allegations of 'Ashtami' fair forms being sold in black, the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has started the process of allotting forms for the fair afresh.
CCP Commissioner Agnelo Fernandes informed that the process for allotting 450 stalls along the Mandovi promenade will be done systematically, with those vendors who have already purchased the forms given a refund.
It may be recalled that the police had to use lathi-charge to disperse vendors who had gathered in large numbers outside the CCP to get the forms as the same had been exhausted. They further alleged that the forms were sold in black.
