PANAJI
AAP Goa leader Cecille Rodrigues was appointed as the Vice President of AAP’s National Youth Wing in the presence of AAP National convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
According to a press note, Rodrigues was the AAP candidate from Taleigao in the assembly election held in 2017. She has taken up on issues of roads in Goa and is a well-known political voice from Taleigao.
During the pandemic, Rodrigues and her team volunteered to reach out to those in need to provide for food, water, medicines and emergency help including free transportation for the needy during lockdown. She also transported Covid patients to hospitals and check-up when no one was willing to help, states the press note.
She was instrumental in getting help for patients and families in GMC during the second wave as she spoke up and exposed the reality of how the GMC hospital was being run inspite of she herself going through a traumatic and emotional experience with her parents admitted to the same hospital and losing her father, the press note further states.
Rodrigues recently was in the news for exposing how luxury buses were collecting bribes from patrons without RT-PCR tests to allow them to enter without one, the press note adds.
“I would like to thank Arvind Kejriwal for appointing me as the AAP Youth Wing National Vice President and giving me this opportunity. It is only AAP that can help the youth of Goa and entire India to reach their potential and fulfill their dreams,” stated Cecille Rodrigues, AAP Youth Wing National Vice President.
