Chinmaya mission Jyoti yatra in State

PANAJI: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar welcomed the Jyoti Yatra of Chinmaya Mission. Siddarth Kuncilienkar, MLA and Mayor of CCP Shubham Chodankar were also present. The Jyoti thereafter proceeded in procession to Chinmay Alok Ashram Panaji.

The Jyoti Yatra will be in Goa from December 5 to 9, and will be visiting Chinmaya Mission centres at Panjim, Ponda, Curchorem, Margao and Mapusa. The yatra arrived in Goa from Belgaum via Chorla Ghat and it was welcomed at Sanquelim.

MAPUSA: Claiming that Goa’s climate was very suitable for Moong and Udit crop, NABARD Assistant General Manager T Geeta has appealed to farmers to grow these crops in the State. “Today, prices of almost all dals have crossed the Rs 200 mark in the country. Goa’s climate is excellent for the production of Moong and Udit. Our farmers should focus their energy to raise such crops which will fetch an excellent price,” Geeta said.
