"He was a versatile advocate and a scholar of law who had penned several articles in Marathi as well as in English dailies. His guidance to the Government in Mayem Evacuee Property matter is invaluable," the Chief Minister said while conveying his grief and condolences to the bereaved members of Kansar family.
The Aam Aadmi Party has also condoled the passing of "people's advocate" Amrut Kansar.
"Adv Kansar had been a supporter and mentor of the AAP in Goa since its inception having regularly advised the party on various issues, especially on constitutional matters," Pradeep Padgaonkar General Secretary of AAP Goa said adding that his loss for the party in the state as he was a source of inspiration to many of its local leaders.
The All India Trade Union Congress also condoled the death of the well known political analyst and social thinker.
"He was a brilliant and fearless advocate for the poor and the downtrodden," the AITUC General Secretary Christopher Fonseca said recalling how Kansar openly supported the historic struggle of the Raponkars, the toddy tappers and the student community in the early 80s despite being a member of the ruling MG party.
