The Chief Minister has again strongly batted for the Tamnar Power transmission line project, saying the government has given the nod the project as it aims at taking care of the power requirements of the state for the next two years.
The Chief Minister, however, said that the government is waiting for the report from the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) which was in the state to inspect the forest area where the line is sought to be laid.
“You don’t want the light. We all want the light and hence the government has taken steps to support the Tamnar power project”, he said, when a scribe questioned him on the fate of the power transmission project.
He pointed out that the government has backed the Tamnar power transmission line project since it will take care of the power requirements of the state for the next two years. “They (the CEC) will give the report after their inspection. We are awaiting for the report”, he said.
Earlier, addressing the program at the Ravindra Bhavan, the Chief Minister pointed out around 45-50 children had come to meet him before Christmas with questions on the various subjects, including Tamnar and double tracking projects etc. “We all met at the Ravindra Bhavan, and I replied to each and every question posed by the children why these projects, including Tamnar are required for the state”, he added.
