CM, Governor extend Christmas greetings

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju have extended warm Christmas greetings to the people of Goa, especially the Christian community, calling upon citizens to uphold the values of peace, compassion and unity.

In his message, Sawant said Christmas is a celebration of peace, goodwill, compassion and hope, values that have long strengthened Goa’s social fabric. He said the teachings of Jesus Christ continue to inspire people to live with kindness, humility and a spirit of service, and urged Goans to practise these ideals not only during the festive season but throughout the year. Highlighting Goa’s tradition of peaceful coexistence, the Chief Minister appealed to citizens to nurture understanding, respect and harmony across all sections of society.

Governor Raju, in his Christmas message, said the birth of Jesus Christ brought timeless values of peace, love, sacrifice and brotherhood to humanity. He described Christmas as a time for families and friends to come together, reflect on life’s blessings and extend kindness to others.

Both leaders wished every Goan a joyful and blessed Christmas and expressed hope that the season would usher in peace, progress and prosperity for the State.
