CM & Governor extend Eid-ul-Zuha greetings

Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant extended greetings to the people of Goa on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakri-Id).

The Governor, in his message, said the festival, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is celebrated with traditional fervour and joy across India and the world. It symbolises forgiveness, charity, and reinforces the spirit of harmony and brotherhood. He called on people of all faiths to renew their pledge to live in peace, friendship and mutual understanding.

“May the celebrations of Eid-Ul-Zuha bring greater peace and friendship among the people,” the Governor said.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant also conveyed his wishes, particularly to the Muslim community.

He said the festival reminds people of the values of kindness, compassion and love, which contribute to peace and social harmony.
