BICHOLIM
Power Minister Nilesh Cabral on Tuesday slammed the Congress party for its determined bid to make baseless allegations despite knowing that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is running the administration in a very smooth manner despite his illness.
He added that the State government has decided to resolve the power woes in the entire State as early as possible by providing the necessary infrastructure.
Cabral was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a Rs 16 crore power substation at Sal.
“The power substation will solve the power woes of Sal and surrounding villages of Bicholim constituency as it will provide 24-hour power supply. The substation will be installed on priority basis as it is a long-pending demand of locals,” said Cabral.
Also taking a dig at the Congress, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho said the Congress party has been making ridiculous statements against BJP despite knowing that the party under Parrikar has been working tirelessly for the development of Goa.
Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar said this project would not only help Bicholim, but would also benefit Pernem constituency in resolving power problems.
“Many development projects are in the pipeline in Bicholim constituency,” said Patnekar.
