Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will present Shram Gaurav Awards 2025 to the 20 awardees representing the unorganised sector- migrant, domestic, industrials and municipality.
The function is organised by the office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment in collaboration with M/s. Disha Foundation on the occasion of Labour Day at Model Career Centre, Training hall, Regional Employment Exchange, 4th Floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji on Labour Day at 10.00 a.m. on May 01, 2025.
The Minister for Labour will preside over the function.
Special awareness programmes to sensitise employees/workers working in the State in Industrial sector, construction and various other sectors will be held. Information about the various schemes implemented by the Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment, Goa Labour Welfare Board and Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will be provided for the benefits of workers.
The Awareness Programmes will be held at various places such as at M/s. Casa de Povo hall, Taleigao, Panchayat Hall of Village Panchayat, Old Goa, hall attached to the Thivim Industrial Estate, Karaswada, Mapusa, Industrial owners Association hall, Bicholim Industrial Estate, Bicholim, M/s. Megawide Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd., Mopa, Pernem, hall at Margao Municipal Council, Margao, village Panchayat Queula, Ponda, GIDC hall at Verna Industrial Estate, Verna and Nakeri- Betul Panachayat hall (old), Quepem.
All the workers/ employees from such sectors are invited to attend the Awareness Programme in the venues nearby to them and get familiarised with the various schemes implemented by Labour Department for the benefits of workers.
