The cheating FIR registered against activist Fidol Pereira by the Colva police has taken an interesting twist with the complainant submitting to the South Goa district and Sessions Court that he has no grievance against Pereira and was unaware why the complaint was filed against her without his knowledge.
The complainant Bashasab Rajesab Siddapur, a resident of Colva, has filed an intervention application in the South Goa Sessions Court after Pereira moved the court with an anticipatory bail plea in view of the cheating case registered by the Colva police.
Pereira and her lawyer later told the media after the hearing on Thursday that the Court has issued an order directing the in-charge of the Colva police to appear before the Court at the next date of hearing on October 27.
In his intervention application, Siddapur stated that he was not rightly informed about Pereira and had a grievance against her. “I was informed that an amount was transferred from his account to the account of Pereira, which was done upon the instruction of his previous employer. The amount never belonged to me as I had merely facilitate the transfer”, he stated in the application.
