Congress leaders along with JanaSena Warriors and a delegation of residents from Canacona confronted the electricity department assistant engineer over faulty, excessive electricity bills sent to customers.
They demanded that this issued be resolved at the earliest to avoid hardships to people in Canacona.
GPYC South Goa District President Prahlay Bhagat demanded immediate clarification on the sudden hike, proper investigation into billing issues, providing relief to affected consumers and transparency from the department.
“The people of Goa deserve answers, not inflated bills,” demanded Bhagat.
Janardhan Bhandari said people have been facing an unexpected rise in electricity bills, putting heavy financial pressure and causing undue burdens on families.
Demanding an immediate response to public concerns over high power bills, Bhandari warned, “If the issue is not resolved soon, stronger action will follow.”
