Stating that Congress has been decimated, Delhi MLA and AAP National Spokesperson Raghav Chadha said AAP was the only alternative for people in the State.
Speaking to reporters after a public meeting at Curchorem on Friday evening, Chadha was confident that AAP would form the next government in the State and would honour its promise of providing free electricity up to 200 units, based on the Delhi electricity model.
Responding to Congress’ offer for an alliance, Chadha said there was no difference between the BJP and Congress.
“Congress has been decimated and the only alternative is AAP in Goa. In fact, Congress has destroyed itself and a vote for them is a waste of a precious vote,” said Chadha.
Claiming that Congress wanted to take advantage of AAP’s organisational skills, goodwill, and political strength, Chadha said the people would reject both BJP and Congress to support an AAP government in the State.
“The AAP has gained strength in the State and as a result, the BJP has been sending the police and goons to disrupt our meetings,” he added.
Chadha said the recent ZP elections and the assembly polls were a different set of elections.
“We will announce our chief ministerial candidate soon and will also take a call on contesting the municipal elections,” said Chadha.
AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre, Curchorem AAP in-charge James Fernandes and other party leaders also addressed the public meeting.
