Congress will float panel in Mapusa civic polls: Bhike

MAPUSA

The North Goa Congress District President, Vijay Bhike said that the party will float a panel for the ensuing Municipal elections in Mapusa.

He also said that Congress will not align with any other party in the civic elections but was open for a tie up with the MGP.

"The outgoing Mapusa Municipal Council has failed to carry out any development in Mapusa. The councillors only passed resolutions but failed to implement them," Bhike said

The North Goa Congress District chief said although Tourism Minister Babu Ajgaonkar has announced that the government had withdrawn permission to Sunburn this year, Congress will keep a watch on the developments on that front.

"It's difficult to believe this government. We will keep a watch and will not allow Sunburn to happen," Bhike said.
