Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Beena Naik led the Congress workers to protest against the LPG price hike at the Velim market on Monday.
Armed with placards and banners, the workers along with South District President Savio D'silva, Congress Youth President Varad Mardolkar, Velim Mahila Block President Berta and Velim constituency Zilla Member Julio Fernandes hit the streets as part of the protest against the rising prices of LPG cylinders.
In his address, the district president Savio said the BJP government at the centre and in Goa has put the common man through great hardships.
He pointed out that government is yet to roll out the promised scheme to provide three free cylinders to the households.
In her address, Mahila Congress chief Beena Naik demanded a rollback in the prices of LPG immediately or face the wrath of the people.
