Speaking to reporters, Parrikar said the Cortalim Market Complex would be completed within two-and-half months.
"There were financial and technical issues. The financial issues have been resolved and November 30 is the date proposed for completion of this project. The project is almost complete," said Parrikar.
Also speaking to the media, Saldanha said the chief minister's inspection of two market complexes under construction at Cortalim and Zuari Nagar would hasten work at the two projects.
"His visit will definitely hasten the pace of work and he also gave us his inputs in the matter," she added.
"The project got delayed as the contractor involved was good at his work, but would stop work at the slightest pretext and besides, the project consultant was changed."
Saldanha said the Cortalim market complex would be one of the most beautiful market complexes in the State.
