The South Goa Sessions Court on Thursday dismissed the bail plea filed by a person arrested by the Curchorem police for the offence of murder.
Additional Sessions Judge Vincent D’Silva has dismissed the bail plea of Tulshidas Parwar on the ground that materials on record clearly indicate that the accused had assaulted the father of the complainant causing his death.
“The memorandum of autopsy clearly indicates that the cause of death was reserved pending a report of chemical analysis, serological analysis and histopathology report and that the said reports are awaited. The viscera materials are preserved by the police surgeon to be forwarded for chemical analysis to the Director GSFSL, Verna in order to ascertain exact cause of death of the deceased,” Judge Vincent said.
The Judge further pointed out that the statements of more witnesses are also to be recorded. The crime committed is of heinous nature and investigation in the case is in preliminary stage. The presence of the accused is required in custody to facilitate further investigation, he said, while dismissing the bail application of the accused.
In his bail plea, the accused had said he is not involved in the alleged criminal offence and is arrested for alleged involvement in the offences punishable under sections 302, 323, 504, 427 of IPC in Crime no. 53/22. He said he is ready to fulfill all the conditions put forth by the Court including furnishing of the surety.
Complainant Damodar Parwar had lodged his complaint that the accused had allegedly raised a quarrel with his father Subhash causing him objection for taking water connection in their common ancestral property, abused him and later allegedly compressed his neck with both hands as a result of which the father fell suffocated and unconscious and thereafter died when he was shifted to CHC, Kakoda Curchorem and thereby committed his murder.
