Curtorim man dies in accident at Baina

A man from Curtorim died after sustaining injuries in an accident at Baina on Tuesday morning.

The deceased, identified as Constantino Colaco, was riding an EV scooter when an oncoming motorcycle driven by Rohit Jaiswar of Vaddem-Vasco, reportedly collided with his vehicle near Rajshree Bungalow, Baina, on October 28 at around 7.30 am.

Both riders sustained injuries in the impact. Colaco later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College, Bambolim.

Police conducted an inquest panchanama and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to family members for final rites.

Mormugao Police registered a case under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Yeshwant Raikar under the supervision of PI Sheriff Jacques and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
